Job Title: Asphalt Foreman

Company: Boggs Contracting, Inc. 

Location: Georgetown, Horry, and Florence county, SC

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary: The asphalt foreman supervises the field operations for an asphalt project. They directly supervise and coordinate the activities of the asphalt crew. They prepare the work schedules for the asphalt crew,  estimate the amount of labor and materials required for asphalt construction projects, and consult blueprints and drawings to ensure accuracy.

Requirements: 

• Applicant must have a clean driving record, verifiable leadership/decision-making skills, construction experience, ability to read plans/blueprints. Must have knowledge of private and commercial work sites.
• Applicant will plan/direct excavation of construction project(s), as well as supervise a team operating heavy equipment.
• Should be able to ensure overall productivity, quality and safety on project(s) and be able to meet deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as requested by their supervisor.

• Directly supervises, coordinates and schedules the asphalt crew.
• Prioritize, delegate and perform all work placing safety first in all things.
• Experienced on all types of heavy equipment for asphalt and site projects.
• Reads, understands, and interprets drawings and specifications.
• Reports on time and materials.
• Monitors the implementation of safety orientations, safety indoctrination, provides coaching for improvement.
• Performs the duties of all asphalt crew team members
